About Stephen
Humble Beginnings...
Everyone expected him to be just like any other boy, but by age two, a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome upturned their reality. His parents were told he had “no future,” but his life’s story proved the doctors wrong. Stephen Hinkle’s future was actually just beginning.
From struggles in early childhood education to becoming an international speaker and consultant, Stephen has clung to the belief that a disability is no reason to quit, rather, it’s motivation to succeed. A present-day resident of California, but an all-time advocate for people with autism, Stephen has been spreading his message of encouragement for 19 years.
He believes everyone, including those with special needs can live a quality life if given the right support, especially in grade school.
That’s what he presents when he travels across the states and internationally. As of today, Stephen has spoken in 24 different states, plus Washington D.C., and the country of Australia. Plans are in the works to go even further.
Stephen is living proof that the author of your story is you, not your disability.

A Future Worth Creating...
Growing up, differences between him and his peers meant loneliness. Today, those same differences are the impetus for new connections. Whether Stephen is speaking to a crowd of one hundred or just a single person, his message remains the same – disability is NOT a negative word!
We may not choose how we’re born, but we can make the make the most of life no matter who we are. We each have a future worth creating.
With earlier intervention and increased access for people with special needs, what was once impossible can become reality. Stephen is the proof.
Some may claim you have no future, but from Stephen’s perspective, the future is all yours!
